DescriptionIn this process the producer issues the retailer with the technology needed to be able to sale customised products. The diagnosis and monitoring systems allow the orthopaedic technician to characterize the patient’s feet, required for the shoe design. The technicians can also use 3D scanners (foot scanners) and product configurators to allow the customer to select the model of the shoe. Usually the information in these systems can be updated by means of a Technical Specification document. The Retailer helps the customer to configure the custom article, and orders the product(s). In this process, the delivery of the product is deferred due to the product still don't exists and have to be manufactured on purpose. Logistics acquire special importance in this process, unique item production is the usual case, and the customer is waiting for its purchased article. In this process only the product delivery in shop is modelled, althouth the delivery can be also performed on the customer address.
